Another National Day on Writing in the Books!

Thank you to all who participated in helping the CLC Writing Center celebrate National Day on Writing last Monday, Oct. 20! We had about 70 people in total, including students, staff, and faculty, who came out to share why they write with us. Some students and faculty wrote poems using magnetic poetry, and others had a blast with our giant, pencil-shaped word search!

We also want to shout out our social media blitz and raffle winners, too! A special thank you and congrats to the following: Daniel Killins, Jose Zavaleta de Lopez, Diego Martinez, and Lucas Liu!

We are incredibly thankful to the CLC community who participated and helped make National Day on Writing a special day at CLC. We’re extra grateful to Nick Schevera, Nick Bennett, Sadie Saller, and Miguel Jimenez who donated their time and tabled with us. We’re also thankful to Ann Rintz who let us borrow one of the art gallery’s folding displays during our event.

Please enjoy the slideshow below, and we’ll see you next October 20th

National Day on Writing – It’s a Wrap!

The CLC Writing Center wrapped up a week of celebrating National Day on Writing (Oct. 20) on Saturday October, 26th.

To celebrate, we hosted tabling events at all three campuses on 10/21 where students, staff, and faculty filled out fliers letting us know why they write. You can see some of their responses in the slideshow below. We also shared information about upcoming events at the college and new classes for the Spring 25 semester.
