The CLC Writing Center is open and already working with students this semester. We are currently supporting writers in both in-person and online modalities.
In Person Sessions
Students can work with a writing tutor in person at the Grayslake, Lakeshore, and Southlake campuses, though days and times vary by campus. Sessions are available by both appointment or drop in.
Zoom Live
Students can schedule an appointment to work with a writing tutor via Zoom.
Live Chat in Google Docs
Students can also schedule an appointment to collaborate with a writing tutor in a shared Google document using the Chat feature.
Written Feedback
Students can submit an essay or other draft anytime and receive written feedback via e-mail in 48 hours or less. Written feedback appointments can be scheduled but are not necessary.
How to Schedule an Appointment
To make an appointment, students will use CLC’s new student success scheduling tool, Navigate. Writing center staff are happy to help students with this process so don’t hesitate to contact us with questions. See below for contact information.
Writing Center Hours in all Modalities
A new option that we started this summer is Sunday hours for our Zoom tutoring and we will continue to offer appointments from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Sunday evenings.
